Oxidized Headlights
This customer bought a used Honda Accord that had severe oxidation to the headlights. The faded headlights were causing the customer discomfort with lack of visibility while driving at night. Oxidized headlights may be caused by extreme sun exposure giving the lenses a faded appearance.
Headlight Restoration
To remove heavy oxidation from the headlights we have to sand the lenses to remove scratches and oxidation in the plastic. Next, we do a second pass over the lenses with a higher grit sandpaper to smooth out any scratches to the surface. Then, we wet sand the lenses with a fine grit sandpaper to remove any scratches from the lower grit sandpaper. Finally, we apply a heavy abrasive compound to remove the fine grit sandpaper with our RUPES high speed buffer to buff the headlights to a pristine shine!
